General Description of Installation
GENERAL
The project involved completely new installation of 7d Twaddling Farm, the existing build has been removed to create an adequate space for an outstanding luxury 5-bed detached house in the highly regarded and sought after village of Barnt Green. When undergoing the project our instruction was to follow the specification and drawings provided but with a “design and build” idea in mind.
When making changes to the original drawings these were approved by the client throughout the job.

Distribution
A 3-phase distribution board with single phase conversion kit has been installed in the garage to allow enough ways to accommodate the new install 20% and spare ways for future additions. The Distribution Board a 100 Amp main switch once individual 30ma RCD for all circuits. Benches of this type of install are:
· Eliminates nuisance tripping.
· Future maintenance is quicker and easier.
· Identification of any faulty equipment can be identified without the need to disconnect other
circuits.
Small Power
Small power systems generally comprise the assortment of 13 Amp twin switched socket outlets, 13 Amp single switched socket outlets, isolating switches; switched neon indicated fused connection units 45 Amp cooker switches.
All power supplies for kitchen appliances are located within the kitchen units to reduce the number of
accessories on the worktops, giving a more minimalistic feel.
All socket outlets are of a screened shutter type and comply with BS 1363 and are switched.
Accessories are either Hamilton brushed chrome finish or Hager white plastic finish.
Lighting / Lux Requirements
The lighting installation comprises of LED pendant wall lights, outside lights, strip lights and recessed down lights. All lighting positions have been designed to conform to the latest building regulations (Part L).
Throughout the project all lighting has been approved for aesthetics
by the client, however, fire regulations
ingress protection have been taken into account to allow correct fittings for the type of installation.
The lighting installation has achieved the illumination levels required by the
CIBSE lighting guard and architect drawings provided.
